What would you do if you had $100,000?

Hey Triumpher,

Imagine two people walking into a store with their credit cards. One of them thinks he has a $100,000 balance on his card to spend freely, but in reality, there’s no money on the card. The second person, on the other hand, actually has the $100,000 on his card but he’s unaware.

Who do you think will walk around the store confidently and try to buy more items? If you guessed the first person, you guessed right because in truth, it is not ability that fuels action but knowledge.

This same principle is applicable to believers as well. If a believer doesn’t heal the sick, or cast out devils, or do mighty things by God’s Spirit, it’s not because he or she cannot, but because they don’t know they can.

Do you remember Peter’s walk on the water? Before that night, he had never tried to walk on water. It wasn’t because walking on water was impossible, but because he did not know it was possible. However, as soon as he saw Jesus walk on water, his mind became aware of that possibility, and that same night, he walked on water as well; until he almost drowned, that is.

Triumpher, are you aware that God’s endless power is at work in you? (Ephesians 3:20). Are you aware that God’s Spirit, the same Spirit by Whom the universe was created, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you? (1 Corinthians 6:19). Are you aware that as a believer, God has given you diverse spiritual gifts that you can use? (1 Corinthians 12:4).

As a believer in Christ Jesus, God has given you spiritual gifts that you are meant to use to serve other believers and glorify Him (1 Corinthians 12:7). To effectively use these gifts, you must first receive and acknowledge them (2 Timothy 1:6), learn their purpose (1 Peter 4:10-11, and then finally, exercise them in order to strengthen how well you use them (1 Timothy 4:7-8).

Unlike the credit card earlier, your spiritual gifts card has no limit—spend it all for God, His people, and His Gospel! Go ahead and live the supernatural life that God has purposed for you to live every single day.

That’s all for this weekend.
