What’s the recipe for a successful life?
Hint: It starts with a four-letter word.
Hi Triumpher,
Welcome to the month of August! Is it me, or is this year moving at the speed of light? I’m sure I am not the only one who thinks the same.
As is the custom with new months, you’ve probably reviewed the last month, and now you’re mapping out your strategy for this month. Well, Triumpher, before you outline your next steps for August, I have a question for you: How do you feel confident that your plans will work?
Based on your human understanding, you can’t be 100% confident. The only way to know for sure that your plans are foolproof is by being aligned with God’s will, because God is the only One who knows the end from the beginning.
Now, how can you align your life with God’s will? Simple – by seeking Him.
In James 1:5, we are encouraged to seek God’s wisdom for our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to lean on God’s wisdom and not on our limited understanding. In 1 Samuel 30:8, we see how amid a devastating situation, David sought direction from the Lord before taking any step. As Christians, this is how we ought to live.
Rather than navigating the murky terrain of life on your own, make it a daily habit to seek wisdom, direction, clarity, and knowledge from God. You can do this by praying consistently and studying God’s word faithfully (Romans 12:1-2, Psalm 55:17). This makes you receptive to God’s instructions and helps you live a life that’s fully aligned with His will.
Triumpher, you don’t have to face life alone; God is always ready to guide you through it all. The recipe for living a successful life starts with seeking God daily. Seek His face, depend on Him and follow His Word, and you’ll surely have a successful life.
That’s all for today.
Till the next one,
Tim.
