Triumpher, Are You on the Lord’s Side?
What does it really mean to be all-in for God?
Hi Triumpher!
Tim here, and I’ve got a question for you: Are you really on the Lord’s side? You might be quick to say, “Of course I am!” But hold on, let’s walk through this together.
Have you ever been in a debate where you had to defend an unpopular opinion? Even when switching sides would be easier, you stuck to your side because you knew it was right.
That’s kind of what it’s like being on the Lord’s side. Being on God’s side has a lot of perks, but they come hand-in-hand with serious responsibilities.
Reckon yourselves to be dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
This week, we explored what it truly means to live a life of full-on submission to God, embracing both the perks and the responsibilities. Think about Abraham and Isaac. Abraham didn’t have all the answers, yet he trusted God completely, showing us what unwavering faith looks like.
When we put our faith in Christ, we’re not just freed from sin; we’re raised to a life filled with purpose and victory. Apostle Paul reminds us that this new life isn’t just about shaking off the old, but also embracing God-given desires (Romans 12:2). In this life, self is dead and our purpose is to know Him and make Him known (Colossians 3:1-3).
Our service to God must be marked by devotion and selflessness, choosing to please Him first, above all else. And here’s the cool part: when Christ takes root in your heart, there is a visible transformation in our lives. The more you lean into what you have in Christ, the more empowered you become to walk in the Spirit and showcase that resurrection power (Galatians 5:16).
And as we wrapped up the week, we learned that when God is at the center of everything, life just makes sense. It’s not about chasing blessings, but knowing that when you walk with Him, everything falls into place (Romans 8:28).
So, let me ask you again—are you really on the Lord’s side? If you are, then you know walking with God isn’t always a walk in the park. It comes with great days, but there are moments where you might wonder if you made the right choice. But here’s the spoiler: even when it doesn’t feel like it, when you're on the Lord’s side, you’re on the winning team. Always.
Here’s to a life of submission and complete trust in God!
Tim.
