Merry Christmas, Triumpher!

How are you doing on this glorious day? Trust you are having the time of your life. If not,

All over the world, Christmas Day is a day to spread cheer, love, and other wonderful things. While this is great, as believers, we must keep the 'Christ' in the 'Christmas'. Indeed, He is the reason for the season.

As we see in our devotionals leading to Christmas, when Jesus came into the world, light came! The Prophet Isaiah described the coming of Christ as light that shone in the dark. Through Christ, the Father “delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13‭-‬14 NKJV)

Not only this, through the birth of Jesus, we can see that we have hope that we can face tomorrow. In His death, burial, and resurrection, we have received the assurance of salvation! And at His second coming, we shall be changed within the twinkle of an eye. There will be no more suffering, death, and pain. Glory to God! Indeed, Christ in us is the hope of glory!

This and more is what Christmas is all about.  For us, Christmas is not just another holiday or a day to just feast and eat. It is a day to remember God’s love for us through Christ. Oh, what a joy it is to know that we are eternally saved. How wonderful it is to know that we have assurance for eternity. While we were yet sinners, and before we knew we needed saving, God made provision. What love!

On this Christmas Day, as you are merry, keep this in mind and tell everyone who cares to listen that Jesus indeed is the reason for the season!
