Many Gifts, One Spirit.

Dear Triumpher,

The Holy Spirit has given every believer unique gifts to build up the church. Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and interpretations, and many more. But these gifts weren’t given to be hidden, they were meant to be used.

The gift of tongues allows believers to communicate with God beyond human language (1 Corinthians 14:14). In Scripture, speaking in tongues was one of the first signs of the Holy Spirit’s presence, it builds up the believer, and with interpretation, strengthens the church (1 Corinthians 14:4).

The gifts of prophecy and word of knowledge provide divine insight, revealing God’s wisdom and truth to His people (1 Corinthians 12:8, 14:3). Prophecy reveals God’s mind on a matter; bringing edification, encouragement, and comfort, while word of knowledge provide supernatural understanding of things that could not be known naturally (John 4:16-18).

Discernment of spirits helps believers distinguish between the Spirit of God and deceptive spirits. Not every spiritual manifestation is from God, and the enemy thrives on deception (1 John 4:1). Discernment sharpens our ability to recognize truth, and prayer is key to developing this gift.

While words of knowledge reveal a situation, wisdom shows how to navigate it. God has made His wisdom available to us.

Faith and healing go hand in hand. The gift of faith empowers believers to trust God for the miraculous, while healing demonstrates God’s desire to restore and strengthen His people. 

These gifts aren’t just for personal benefit, they are meant to uplift and encourage others. God didn’t give these gifts for them to remain dormant (1 Corinthians 1:7). They are meant to build up the church and strengthen fellow believers. 

The more you step out in faith, the stronger they become. Stir them up because the church needs what you carry.
