Happy New Month!
A Weekly Recap Fit For Royalty

Happy New Month!
Hellooo !
It’s the 6th month of the year and also the 22nd week in 2023! Wasn’t it yesterday we all screamed ‘happy new year’ to each other? How time flies!
Anyways, I trust you are well and having a great start to the month already. I know you must be wondering, “who is this one again?”
Well, I’m Theo. Tim and Tabitha are out of office today so I’m stepping in their stead to wish you a happy new month and also bring you the weekly recap.
Now, without further ado, let’s dive right into it!
During devotion this week, we learnt about our purpose as believers, being sold out to the gospel, emulating the right spiritual examples, and imbibing a culture of thanksgiving.
Our anchor verse admonishes us to be representatives of our Lord Jesus in every way, both in what we say and what we do.
And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
We started this week with understanding our purpose as believers. Our sole purpose is to know Christ and to make him known, and this can only be done by living for him. (2 Corinthians 5:15, Galatians 2:20).
On Tuesday, we were admonished to be sold out to the gospel. To be sold out to the Gospel means to have an insatiable desire to share the truth of God's word and be Christ-like. We can do this through our service to God, physical and financial contributions to our local church, and our devotion to God.
For Wednesday’s devotional, we learnt how following the right example can help us walk in the power we already possess as believers. (Matthew 14:25-29). We have been charged to surround ourselves with examples of people who walk unashamedly in God’s power and seek opportunities to boldly show forth this power.

Short Break 😁
On Thursday, we discussed living a life of thanksgiving. Sometimes, it’s easy to focus on the things that aren’t working, and doing so makes us lose track of what we have and how far we have come (1 Thessalonians 5:18). We have to acknowledge that all we have is from God and despite what we might be going through at any particular time, we have to respond with thanksgiving.
Friday’s devotional admonished us to always give thanks. As believers, there is always a reason to be thankful to God, and in our being thankful to him our faith is boosted. (Ephesians 5:20).
Let me end this letter by charging you to be representatives of God and be a shining light even in this dark world. I want you to constantly remind yourself of the blessings of God and respond appropriately with thanksgiving.
One last thing. . .
