Triumpher, why are you here?
A Life Lived on Purpose
Hey Triumpher,
Tim here again, back like I never left!
Ever catch yourself in one of those deep thought spirals? Like, Why do I exist? or What’s the point of all this? I mean, I've had times when I thought, What if I came out as an orange? Would I be sweet or sour?
Well, if you're like me and you've thought along those lines then no worries! I've got solid answers for you from the Word.
Soooo, let’s get right into it!
Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) says, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
This week, we explored the true meaning of purpose. Think of it like this: Just as a pen cannot transform into a chair because its creator has designated its purpose, our purpose comes directly from God, who made us with intention and love. Our job? To live out His will on earth, to know Christ and make Him known (2 Corinthians 5: 18-20), to spread His love to everyone around us (1 Corinthians 15:3).
Living purposefully means embracing God’s truth, setting our minds on eternity, and staying focused, even when life throws curveballs (John 15:18-19).
Yes, living out your purpose isn't always a smooth ride. It is not a walk in the park. Sometimes it’s downright tough (Hebrews 11:36-38). But you know what? God has your back (Deuteronomy 31:6). Plus, while the message of salvation is for eternity, you don’t have eternity to preach it (John 9:4, 1 Thessalonians 5:2). So let’s make the most of our time here (Romans 13:11).
Here are a few points to take with you:
Purpose is not Self-Satisfaction: Purpose is bigger than just feeling good; it often involves personal sacrifice and stepping out of your comfort zone (Genesis 4:12).
Finding Purpose is not less work: It’s hard work, it requires resilience and commitment, even when the going gets tough.
Time is Precious: Stay focused on your purpose and cherish the present moment, as time is valuable. Be disciplined and let Christ’s love shine through everything you do (Matthew 5:16).
In the days ahead, spend some time in prayer and identify small steps you can take to live more purposefully each day. Let’s be intentional and make every day count.
Ready to live on purpose? You‘ve got this!
Cheering you on,
Tim.
