Triumpher, how's your Joy holding up?

Let’s guard what truly matters this year.

Hey Triumpher!

Tim here, and I know it’s just 3 weeks into the year but I have a question for you: How’s your joy holding up?

Do you ever feel like life is working overtime to drain you? Like joy is slipping through your fingers no matter how hard you try to hold on?

This week, we took a deeper look at the subtle things that can rob us of joy and how to protect what truly matters. One thing we were reminded of is that joy doesn’t come from what we chase or the worries we carry. FOMO can trick us into believing we’re missing something, but true satisfaction is found in God’s will, not in what the world tells us we lack (Luke 12:15, Romans 8:28).

We also learned that anxiety doesn’t change anything; prayer and trust in God’s provision do. When we shift our focus from the problems to the Provider, we find true peace and rest (Philippians 4:6-7). And, as the week came to a close, we reflected on how bitterness and anger can trap us. Choosing to let go of those emotions and embracing love, forgiveness, and patience, just like Christ, frees us to live in joy and peace.

Regardless of what may try to steal your joy, here’s what we concluded: whether it’s the fear of missing out, anxiety, or financial pressures, the solution is always the same—God’s peace is greater and joy isn’t found in circumstances; it’s rooted in God.

So, how’s your joy?

This year, I encourage you to guard it fiercely. Remember that joy isn’t just a fleeting feeling, it’s a fruit of your spirit, a gift from God to help you stand strong no matter what comes your way. Stay anchored in His Word, and let His peace reign in your heart.

I’m cheering you on!

With joy,
Tim.

P.S. What’s one thing you’re doing this week to guard your joy? Let me know! I’d love to hear how you’re embracing God’s peace this year.
