Acts of Worship
We worship, we praise, we dance, we study the Bible, and we do this TOGETHER!
Hii Triumpher!
Happy New Year!
You must be wondering, ‘Happy New Year in February?’ Yes, of course! This is the first newsletter of 2026 so happy New Year again!
How have you been, Triumpher? I hope you’ve been well and studying your Bible.
Well, I’ve been great and bouncing in the Lord! Speaking of which, did you know the Bible never tells us to close our eyes while we pray? In fact, in the New Testament, you’ll see many instances where Jesus lifted His eyes to heaven as He prayed (John 11:41, John 17:1, Matthew 14:19).
Did you also know worship is a powerful way to pray? Not just a song to sing, but a way to pray. Growing up, we were trained to sing songs of worship first, and then pray.
The truth is prayer is communication with God. While we have learned to communicate through petitions and closed eyes, there are other ways to fellowship with God.
One way is worship. In the Bible, people often encountered God in mighty ways when they gave thanks to Him (Matthew 14:19; Acts 16:25), and we are admonished countless times to give thanks to God (Psalm 147:1; Hebrews 13:15; Psalm 105:2; Ephesians 5:19).
Another way is writing. When you journal, you get to express and record your deepest interactions with God.
In essence, your devotion with God should not be rigid. God desires a personal relationship with you, where you can express yourself fully to Him through worship, words, prayer, dance, and all that you are (Romans 12:1).
That’s why this year at Triumph 30, our morning devotions have been tailored to take us back to the rudiments of prayer. We worship, we praise, we dance, we study the Bible, and we do this TOGETHER. As a family. As one body in Christ.
If you haven’t been a part of it, this is your invitation to join us. Join us as we delight in God. Join us as we learn more of God and His love for us.
He’s waiting for you with open arms.
Till next time,
Tim.
